How can i keep this relationship going strong?

I am currently dating a guy that I can only see once a week. In the mean time, we text all day long. We usually start with simple things: how is your day, how are you feeling. But after you get past that stuff you can just...get to know them better. I like to say: "tell me something I don't know about yourself" this usually goes well becuase anyone likes to talk about themselves, haha. Ask them what they are doing currently, maybe even suggest to watch a TV show together. (if that makes sense, lol) :)
